The eBay, 2013 Long Beach Biennial fundraising effort has gotten off to a good start with lots of interested bidders supporting our efforts with their participation. If you have not stopped by to check out the items, you can easily do so by just going to eBay, then typing in ATHA 2013 in the search box. It will bring up a complete list of the donated items being sold.

Of course, new items are being added all the time so interested parities should check in every so often to make sure they don't miss out on something special.

ANNOUNCING OUR TEXAS PICKER
To facilitate the donation of appropriate items for the eBay site, Martha Reynolds, Dallas, Texas, has agreed to be our 2013 fundraiser contact in Texas. Instead of shipping donations all the way to California, rug hookers in the Southwest can just give things to Martha when they see her - she will do the rest. It is a great way to support the Long Beach Biennial and clean out your studio at the same time. Just remember, donated items need to be in good shape and something of interest to rug hookers.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the "Seeing Red" Challenge. The Challenge is now officially closed and we have a grand total of 82 mats! Each one is absolutely wonderful, unique and what makes being a part of ATHA so much fun!

The Seeing Red Challenge will be on display during the Biennial in Lancaster, so please come and see this wonderful show! The Seeing Red mats that are for sale will be noted by a "red" dot on their label. Due to the overwhelming response and limited space, the Seeing Red mats will be for sale at a set price of $75 per mat*.

The Seeing Red mats will be for sale from 10 am to 3 pm each day. There will be someone there who can help you purchase the mat of your choice. Your checks must be made out to the "ATHA Education fund." We request, if possible, for the mat to stay up as long as the Biennial. If that is not possible, you may take the mat with you when you leave. You will be given a receipt for your purchase.

For those mats not for sale, but you are attending the Biennial, you may pick up your mat at the end of the Biennial in the same manner you will pick up your rug. For those mats not for sale and you are not attending the Biennial, your mat will be mailed back to you with a bill for shipping!

We look forward to seeing everyone in Lancaster!
